Yesterday we celebrated the 4th Annual Day of Dead in Fort
Lauderdale. The celebration parade started in the Bubier Park and went along
the Riverwalk west to the party area. The attendees and spectators came dressed
in costumes and with artful painted faces. Everyone enjoyed the cheerful
and colorful celebration and marked the date for the next Day of the Dead next
year.
The Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition that is
celebrated between October 31st and November 2nd each year. During
this time we remember deceased love ones and decorate their graves with flowers
and honor their memory with a party.
